This book is written in both Jordan and Pike’s pov. This book is written in dual povs which was perfect for this book. The storyline was amazing, the meaning behind it was unique and just everything about the writing was good. Totally the wrong book to pick up during exam time but don’t worry I somehow managed. Douglas hooked me with their writing from the first page and honestly I couldn’t stop reading. I’m not much into age-gap romance unless they are super good so I wanted to see if this one is another good one. Review: I have seen this book a lot and after reading Corrupt from Penelope Douglas, I knew I had to pick this one up. They live in New England with their husband and daughter. Please look for The Hellbent Series and Motel, coming next. Their books have been translated into nineteen languages and include The Fall Away Series, The Devil’s Night Series, and the stand-alones, Misconduct, Punk 57, Birthday Girl, Credence, and Tryst Six Venom. Unfortunately, they both just moved into my house.Ībout the Author: Penelope Douglas is a New York Times, USA Today, and Wall Street Journal bestselling author.

I can’t touch her, and I shouldn’t want to.īut we’re not free to give into this. I have to stop my mind from drifting to her and stop holding my breath every time I bump into her in the house. As the days go by, though, it’s becoming anything but easy. I took her in, because I thought I was helping. Only Pike Lawson isn’t the unavailable one. My sister once told me there are no good men, and if you find one, he’s probably unavailable. I can feel his eyes on me over the breakfast table, and my heart pumps so hard when I hear him pull in the driveway after work. He listens to me, protects me, and sees me. He doesn’t use me, hurt me, or forget about me. He took me in when I had nowhere else to go.
